General terms and conditions of sale

Before placing your first order, please read the following general terms and conditions of sale carefully. They protect your rights as a customer and my rights as a designer-seller.

Preamble :: general information

In accordance with European directives, French law is applicable to these GCS, regardless of the country in which the customer resides.

Information about the coomposition and how to take care of the garments may be given in the product sheets but also on the garment label.
These informations was originally provided by the fabric seller and is his sole responsability. However, you are strongly advised to comply with this information in order to keep your garment in good condition for as long as possible.

1 – Acceptance of the general terms and conditions of sale
When placing an order, the customer is asked to tick the box « I have read and accepted the GTC ». This is valid for acceptance of these general terms and conditions of sale and implies that the customer has read and understood these GCS.
The GTC can be modified at any time, however the GTC that are taken into account are those in force at the time of the order.

2 – Product information and invoicing
The description accompanying each product (or « product sheet ») endeavours to be as complete as possible by indicating in particular the garment’s size, the dimensions of the jewellery and accessories, the material(s) used, the price including all taxes in euros (excluding shipping costs).
The price of the products can be modified at any time. The price invoiced is the price in force at the time the order is validated.

We endeavour to respond as soon as possible, outside of closing periods, holidays, public holidays.
Payment is preferably made via paypal or credit card (via paypal but with no paypal account needed)
Payment by cheque or bank transfer is possible, however the dispatch of the article(s) ordered will only take place after the cheque has been cashed or the transfer has been received.

3 – Delivery

Delivery is priced according to the weight of the articles and the current french postal rates according to the geographical zones.
The shipment of ready-to-wear articles (including art, jewellery and accessories) is done within 48 hours max. (working days)
Customised or made-to-measure items are dispatched within the time indicated in the estimate or during the exchange prior to the order. The usual time of realization in off-peak period, time of order of the supplies included, is 7 working days.
If you have an urgent order, please specify it when ordering or before so that we can find the best solution together.

Delivery of the product(s) is made by colissimo or tracked letter (french post), depending on the dimensions of the product(s), unless otherwise agreed.

The customer is asked to pay attention to the good condition of the parcel on receipt.
Any damage noted must be immediately reported to the delivery man/factor and the parcel, if necessary, refused.
Lhaulde undertakes to inform the customer of the effective date of dispatch of the parcel.
The product(s) remain the property of Lhaulde until they are received.

4 – RGDP / Use of personal data
When ordering and creating the customer area, the customer is asked to provide personal data (address, contact, year of birth etc…).
These data are strictly reserved for the smooth running of the transaction.
The e-mail address collected may be used to send a newsletter, only if the customer consents.
In accordance with the French Data Protection Act of 6 January 1978 as amended, the customer has the right to access, delete or modify the data collected by contacting

The data collected will not be transferred or disclosed to a third party.
You can also file a complaint with the CNIL (Commission Nationale Informatique et Libertés). For more information, please visit https://www.cnil.fr/.

5 – Return of the product(s) ordered (except for the guarantee of conformity, see point 7)
In accordance with Articles L121-16 and 121-20 of the French Consumer Code, the customer has a period of 14 days from the date of receipt of the order to exercise his/her right of withdrawal. The product(s) must be returned in their original packaging and show no damage or traces of use.
Reimbursement of a damaged or worn product will be refused.
Particular case of clothing: the cardboard label with the composition and care information is proof of non-use of the garment. Please do not cut it until you are sure that you like the garment. Once the label has been cut, the garment will be considered as worn and therefore non-refundable.
Refunds will be made as soon as possible (2 to 4 working days depending on the bank) upon receipt of the returned product. If you wish to receive a credit note for another purchase or an exchange rather than a refund, please contact Lhaulde at

The costs of return shipment are to be borne by the customer

5b – Items ordered custom-made or personalised are not refundable.

Only if I make a mistake in the application of the measurements or if the article has a major defect can I be refunded.
Please note that measurement errors on the part of customers cannot be refunded. In the exchanges that take place before the order is placed, I try to understand your expectations as much as possible and to check that the measurements you give me are correct, unfortunately I cannot know from a distance if they are indeed correct.

6- Modalities of an order for a custom made item :
This will take place in writing, either on messenger via Facebook™ (lhaulde.couture.7) or by email (lhaulde at gmail dot com) or via my other social media

The exchanges that precede the order and the estimate are free.

However, having knowledge of the practices of certain people via my colleagues, any request for a pattern or technical explanation of the realization of the article will end the exchange. Classes and patterns are not free 😉

If you wish me to create a new design, which I do not offer yet, please be as precise as possible: silhouette, type of fabric, type of colour or pattern etc. Feel free to use your own words, no need to be a specialist ! « I would like a light/heavy/flexible… fabric »
Do not hesitate to attach a sketch, even a rough one. Or a picture of a similar clothe.

I will also do some sketches to make sure that I understand your idea and that we are on the same page.

The estimate takes into account the estimated time to complete the work, the cost of materials (by default I will propose the cheapest, however I remain attached to the œko tex certification and if organic exists for the same quality of fabric, I may propose it) the social contributions and shipping costs.
I don’t charge extra, except if you ask for a modification/addition during the realization.

Validity of the estimate : 3 months

Acceptance of the estimate :
The customer must affix two handwritten notes to the estimate:
« received before work is done ».
« bon pour travaux » (which means « good for work » in french, meaning you accept the estimate) along with the date and signature of the customer

Payment:
The full payment is requested before the beginning of the execution of the article. This payment can however be made in several instalments, please note that it will delay as much the beginning of execution.

Start and execution of the order:
The execution of the order begins upon receipt of the completed estimate and full payment.
The execution time is specific to each order and is mentioned in the estimate.

Withdrawal and refund
If the execution time is exceeded by 7 days, you can cancel your order.
The same applies to the delivery time.
You will then be refunded.

If you wish to withdraw for other reasons, you will have to agree on an amicable arrangement. A full refund is not possible in this case, I incur costs from the beginning of the execution, they will be charged to you.

Reminder of the basic advice to take your measurements:

if possible, take them directly on the skin, without any clothing that creates an additional thickness
make sure that the tape measure is straight, a curve will add centimeters/inches in excess
do not tighten the tape measure, the garment will be too tight
if the measurement does not fall right, round up to the next centimeter/inch, or at least to the next 0.5 centimeter, this will also avoid that you should be engulfed
the measurement of the chest is taken when you breathe in, unless you like to be compressed when you breathe 🙂
Of course, your measurements will not be communicated to a third party by Lhaulde.

7 – Return under the guarantee of conformity

The legal guarantee of conformity is a guarantee against all defects of conformity already existing at the date of delivery of the product.
We speak of a lack of conformity in the following situations:

The good is unsuitable for the use usually expected of a similar good (…)

The good does not correspond to the description given by the seller even if it is in perfect working order. For example, the colour does not correspond to the model presented

NB: we are talking about shades (yellow, red, blue) and not nuances (dark, light). Indeed, colour shades may vary slightly from one screen to another, for which Lhaulde cannot be held responsible.

The good does not have the qualities announced by the seller or agreed with you (…)
The good presents a manufacturing defect, an imperfection, a bad assembly

However, the guarantee of conformity does not apply if :

You were aware of the defect at the time of purchase
You could not have been unaware of the defect at the time of purchase (for example, if the seller informed you of it)
the defect is the result of materials supplied or added by you (…)

In the event of a defect noted on the product(s), the customer has two years from receipt of the product to report the defect and obtain a refund.

Lhaulde reserves the right to contest the application of the guarantee and to provide proof of the absence of defects before delivery. Defects due to wear and tear of the product are obviously not covered by this guarantee.
It is therefore requested that, in the event of a defect noted upon delivery, the customer should report it as soon as possible in order to be refund immediately and without dispute at

7 – Intellectual property
The texts, logos, photographs, videos and other media presented on this site, unless otherwise stated, are the property of Lhaulde. Any reproduction, in part or in full, is prohibited without prior authorisation.
